We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a friendly, boutique accountancy practice, based in the Cotswolds, close to Chipping Norton. The role will be to support a growing client base across a range of sectors, predominantly sole traders and SMEs.
Along with a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and pension, there is the option of hybrid working. Ideally this will be a full-time role, however, a part time position may be considered for the right candidate.
Reporting directly to the Director, as Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 or FRS 105
* Corporation tax returns
* Personal tax computations
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* VAT returns
* CIS returns
* Payroll reviews
* Pre-year-end planning work to provide clients with projections and performance reviews, management of deadlines and workflows
* Support and develop the Accounts Assistant

* Qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA
* At least 4 years’ experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
* Good general IT skills and extensive knowledge of Xero would be ideal
* Technically competent with meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
