Are you an innovative and experienced mental health leader? Are you driven to improve the care and experience of all age patients who access mental health services? Are you looking for an opportunity to play a pivotal role in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board first point of contact for patients accessing mental health services?
This is a key role within the Mental Health Single Point of Contact (SPOC) service, facilitated through the national 111 service. You will support the clinical lead and be responsible for day-to-day management of a varied team of staff, including Well-being Practitioners, Health Care Support Workers and Peer Workers, acting as a point of escalation and decision maker for clinical triage and risk management. This will include actively leading the team in a Reflective Support Group at the end of every shift. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of the SPOC team, including Well-being Practitioners, Health Care Support Workers and Peer Workers.
* Act as clinical triage decision maker and oversee risk management activities.
* Lead reflective practice sessions with the team at the end of each shift.
* Provide highly specialised clinical advice to other mental health professionals and to direct reports.
* Support evaluation and management of clinical triage to ensure recovery-focused interventions with clear outcomes.
* Collaborate with Third Sector organisations and community resources to maximise recovery opportunities for individuals.
* Promote a learning environment that supports staff development and reflective practice.
* Be flexible and adaptable to service needs; in the absence of the Clinical Lead, take lead of the service and participate in on-call provisions.
