Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a CP Site Supervisor on a 6 month rolling contract based in Norfolk.

Overview
The project is an extension of an existing 400kV AIS substation, tripling the size of the existing site to allow customer connections onto the network. The candidate shall assist the site manager and supervise the works on site, interfacing with and sensibly monitoring subcontractors whilst feeding back necessary information to the site manager. The role includes completing internal reporting to a high standard and leading by example when interfacing with external parties such as clients, project stakeholders, sub-consultants/subcontractors, enforcement agencies, local planning authorities and statutory bodies. The individual should be experienced in delivering all aspects of M&E works, including supervising through commissioning and fencing works. The candidate would ideally be happy to work towards gaining their SR163 authorisation to provide short term site cover when required.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
* Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed.
* Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
* Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner.
* Provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels.
* Maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
* Perform other duties as directed by line management.
* Comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
* Support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
* Promote best practice and feed it back into the business.
* Lead by example in health, safety, quality and environmental management.
* Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as-built drawings.
* Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work, including issuing Permits to Dig and Hot Works Permits.
* Set others to work and monitor throughout the task/project.
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence.
* National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8.
* IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS.
* CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
* Previous experience in a supervisory level.
Desirable
* HNC / HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
* Formal Electrical / Mechanical training.
* Impressed Voltage training.
* Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience.
* IOSH environmental or equivalent.
* HSG47.
