Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy bowling and family entertainment venue. The ideal candidate will work closely with our General Manager and demonstrate strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of hospitality and leisure operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional with supervisory experience and a passion for creating fun, safe, and memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of front-of-house, bar, kitchen, and lane staff to ensure smooth operations across the venue.
* Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving guest concerns quickly and professionally.
* Oversee lane bookings, party packages, league nights, and event reservations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Manage customer flow during peak periods, ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience for all guests.
* Support food and beverage operations, ensuring quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met.
* Assist in training, mentoring, and supervising team members to uphold company standards and promote a positive team culture.
* Handle administrative duties including reporting, rota scheduling, stock control, and maintaining operational records.
* Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to ensure bowling equipment, scoring systems, and arcade machines are functioning correctly.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding, and licensing requirements at all times.
* Support senior management in implementing policies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications (not essential but preferred)
* Proven supervisory experience within hospitality, leisure, or entertainment environments (bowling, cinema, arcade, or similar venues preferred).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering fun and memorable experiences.
* Experience in staff training, rota management, and performance supervision.
* Previous exposure to food and beverage operations is advantageous.
* Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm and professional during busy peak periods.
* A genuine passion for entertainment, hospitality, and creating enjoyable experiences for guests of all ages.

Pay: £31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
