Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a highly motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist for a busy and accredited Andrology department based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Main duties of the job
The Andrology Department processes samples using manual and automated methods, with services accredited to UKAS ISO 15189 standards.
You will oversee the daily operations of the department, lead a small team, and ensure high-quality results. You will also represent the service at internal and national meetings, providing expert input to maintain high standards of patient care.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic staff currently at Band 6 level who are undertaking or willing to undertake an MSc, Higher Specialist Portfolio, or other Level 7 qualification. For these applicants, we will appoint at Annex 21.

* Desirable: Additional technical duties within Microbiology.
* Qualifications (Essential): MSc or Higher Specialist qualification.
