An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our team within the University of Derby and Burton Hospitals Gynaecology Outpatients Department.

We are looking for a compassionate and highly motivated individual to join our team. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for caring for women undergoing a range of gynaecology and fertility issues.

You will be working alongside a supportive and committed MDT. The service ethos is to provide compassionate care and support to all our patients while attending their outpatient appointments.

Our department delivers specialist, evidence-based, holistic care to women with gynaecological conditions in an environment that supports patient choice and dignity. Our team consists of Consultant Gynaecologists, Senior Sister, Sister, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, Health Care Support Workers and Modern Housekeeper.

We work 5 days a week, shifts available are Monday - Friday 0830 - 1830

You will need to provide evidence of your Healthcare qualification.

You will also be required to complete a Maths and English assessment prior to being interviewed. (This will be completed at UHDB)

Responsibilities

* The post holder will practice in a holistic, non-judgmental, caring and compassionate manner that avoids assumptions, supports social inclusion and recognises and respects individual choice and acknowledges diversity.
* You will liaise closely with the senior team to ensure efficient and effective bi-directional communication, in order to deliver a high-quality service to the patient and their relative.
