Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and ready to hit the ground running? We are seeking a Logistics Administrator (Customs) to join our clients dedicated Operations team, starting immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating UK customs formalities for vital healthcare shipments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every transaction.
As a Logistics Administrator (Customs), you will take ownership of UK import and export processes, working closely with customs brokers, customers, and internal teams across Europe. You will assist the Customs Supervisor in managing day-to-day customs activities, supporting new trade lane implementations, maintaining system accuracy, and providing essential administrative and operational support.
Your proactive approach will help ensure all customs requirements are completed on time, every time, keeping their supply chain running smoothly and compliantly.
Your responsibilities as a Logistics Administrator (Customs) will include but are not limited to:
* Coordinating all UK import/export customs formalities in line with internal and legal procedures.
* Liaising with brokers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
* Maintaining accurate system records and uploading customs documents to various systems.
* Tracking and closing out all transit documents within agreed timelines.
* Supporting logistics teams with documentation, data input, and administrative tasks.
* Monitoring KPIs and escalating issues to management when necessary.
* Assisting with new lane setups and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be a successful Logistics Administrator (Customs) you must have:
* A strong understanding of UK & EU customs procedures and regulations.
* Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
* Confident IT skills, particularly with MS Office and Excel.
* A collaborative team player with initiative and problem-solving drive.
