Creative Teaching Assistant – Why this role?

As a Creative Teaching Assistant, you’ll help bring lessons to life through interactive learning, play-based activities, targeted interventions, and hands‑on classroom support.

Creative Teaching Assistant – Your role will include:

• Supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Delivering interventions in Phonics, English, Reading, Writing, and Maths
• Supporting children with additional learning needs
• Creating fun, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and lesson delivery
• Helping build children’s confidence, independence, and social development
• Using creative approaches to keep pupils motivated and engaged

Creative Teaching Assistant – What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
• A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for education and child development
• Creative, adaptable, and confident working in fast‑paced environments
• Available for full‑time work across Sunderland or South Tyneside
