Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £20k – £25k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst
Profile
Our client is a well-established, multi-discipline environmental consultancy, providing healthcare, educational, local authority, and MOD sites with high quality work. They are now looking, or an experienced and organised Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Sheffield area. The ideal candidate will come from an asbestos background, ideally working in a UKAS accredited company, carrying out Bulk sampling and analysis and must hold the P401 or RSPH equivalent qualification.
Location and Application
Applications will be considered from: Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Aston, Aughton, Brampton, Brecks, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Morley, Huddersfield.
Experience & Qualifications
* Must hold the P401 or RSPH qualification.
* Must have a proven track record working within the asbestos industry within a laboratory.
* Must have excellent organisational skills.
* Must be well versed in relevant Health & Safety guidelines.
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis and undertaking analysis of samples for fibre content efficiency and ensuring work is being carried out in line with UKAS and relevant Heath & Safety guidelines.
* Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.
* Getting involved with other laboratory tasks as and when required.
* Entering data and analysing and checking reports.
* Completing and uploading reports as and when required.
* Liaising and assisting clients with regards to enquiries.
* Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff
