About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and personable Site Assistant to work at the front gate at a welcoming secondary school in Derby with immediate effect. This is an important front-facing role, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and contractors arriving on site.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and professional operation of our school entrance.
Key Responsibilities
* Meeting and greeting visitors, parents, students, and contractors at the school gate
* Directing visitors to appropriate locations across the school site
* Assisting individuals with the school’s sign-in procedures
* Ensuring safeguarding and security procedures are followed at all times
* Communicating clearly and professionally with staff and visitors
* Reporting any concerns promptly to senior staff
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Be friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people
* Demonstrate a calm and professional manner
* Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Be punctual and dependable
* Understand the importance of safeguarding in a school environment
* Previous experience in a school, customer service, or reception environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
