New Directions Education is recruiting a pool of confident, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisors to work across a range of SEN provisions in the Wakefield area.

Working as a Cover Supervisor within SEN settings is both rewarding and impactful, offering the chance to play a key role in a child’s educational journey.
Your role will involve:
5. Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
6. Supporting pupils to remain engaged and focused throughout the school day
7. Adapting your approach to suit individual learning styles and needs, including learners with autism, complex learning difficulties, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
8. Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive classroom environment
9. Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and staff
10. Ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every learner in your care
