JUNIOR MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR ROLE\n\nMy client are leading Building Services Contractor who have been operating for almost 40 years.\n\nBased out of their HQ in the heart of Central London, they now employ over 600 staff across the business.\n\nDue to growth, they are now seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team.\n\nTHE ROLE – JUNIOR MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR\n\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Junior Mechanical Estimator to support our growing team.\n\nThis entry-level role focuses on assisting with cost estimation for mechanical systems including HVAC, industrial.\n\nThe ideal candidate has a background in mechanical engineering or building services and a keen eye for detail, with a desire to build a long-term career in mechanical estimating.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssist in preparing cost proposals for mechanical systems (HVAC, BMS, Electrical, CAT A, Central plant replacement (Chiller, Boilers)\nReview mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.\nSupport Associate Director Head of Projects in developing detailed scope of work and pricing breakdowns.\nReview and analyse quotations from subcontractors and Suppliers\nParticipate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client walkthroughs when necessary.\nWork with consultants and our project management teams to ensure technical and budgetary accuracy.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nEducation & Experience:\n\nDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.\nPrevious experience, in mechanical estimating or construction is preferred but not required.\n\nSkills & Competencies:\n\nUnderstanding of mechanical systems (HVAC)\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction documents.\nStrong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel; Work experience with AutoCAD\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\n \nSALARY & PACKAGE\n\n£35,000 (DOE)\n25 Days Holiday & 8 Bank Holidays\nPrivate Healthcare\nAnnual Incentive Trips\nTraining and mentoring by the senior team.\nOpportunities to work on complex, large-scale mechanical projects.\nClear pathway for professional growth into Estimator or Project Management roles.\nSupportive and collaborative team culture.\n\nPLEASE CONTACT SEAN HITCHMAN ON (phone number removed) / (url removed)
