Private practice law firm in London, well regarded for the services it provides in relation to property matters is seeking to recruit 2 Residential Property lawyers – one of 0 to 2 and the other of 3 or more years’ PQE. The Private Real Estate team provides high quality advice and service to private clients, trusts and family offices in connection with their real estate affairs and advises across the residential, leasehold enfranchisement and rural property spheres. They work closely, where appropriate, with other specialists in the Firm, including in particular Private Client, Family and Commercial Real Estate lawyers to achieve that aim. Recruitment for this role is with a view to long term progression of a busy and established team and presents a real opportunity for career progression for the successful candidates. The focus for both roles will be to assist with a varied caseload of Residential Property matters acting for HNW individuals, their companies, family offices and trusts and will cover all manner of Residential Property matters with particular focus on • High value freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals • Remortgages. Applicants who are already qualified will have solid residential property sale and acquisition experience including familiarity with new build and off plan transactions, as well as knowledge/ experience of leasehold enfranchisement and landlord and tenant matters. Demonstrable technical expertise (appropriate to your level of PQE) and proficiency in drafting and research skills is also expected. More experienced candidates will also be comfortable in running transactions effectively (with an appropriate level of Partner supervision or not, depending on your PQE) and, ideally, you will have experience of acting for domestic and international high net worth clients. Newly-qualified candidates will have undertaken a seat in Residential Property law (or have Paralegal experience). All candidates will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player with an ability to work collaboratively with professionals of other disciplines (tax advisors, accountants, agents, etc).
