Job Responsibilities
The job holder is responsible for the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar, and outdoor Terraces. Reporting to the F&B Manager, their main duties include:
* Managing a team of 6+ bar staff, including both permanent and casual staff
* Completing monthly beverage stocktakes and weekly ordering
* Ensuring staff maintain professional presentation, including uniforms and personal hygiene
* Opening and closing the bar according to SOPs
* Creating and developing seasonal cocktail and beverage menus
* Achieving Mystery Guest & AA Standards for the department
* Leading by example to meet hotel key standards
* Maintaining cleanliness and layout of front and back of house areas according to SOPs
* Implementing effective induction and training for new staff
* Training, coaching, and mentoring the bar team to ensure high performance and motivation
* Briefing the team daily on special service requirements, promotions, and issues
* Collaborating with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to enhance the bar service offering
Requirements
* Working 45 hours per week over various shifts, including weekends
* Smart appearance, with passion and confidence to lead the team
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for guest service
* Warm and welcoming hosting abilities
* Supervisory/management experience in a quality bar operation, preferably within a 4 or 5-star hotel
* Ability to manage and motivate a team
* Own transportation is required due to semi-rural location
