This is your chance to work at the forefront of cloud, automation, and continuous delivery practices, enabling high‑performing teams to build, deploy, and operate scalable digital services across water, transportation, defence, and government sectors.
What You’ll Do
* Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.
* Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated software delivery.
* Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows and deployment practices.
* Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
* Support containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
What You’ll Need
* Strong knowledge and experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
* Expertise in CI/CD tools and automation frameworks like Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible.
* Experience with microservices, containers, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK Stack or CloudWatch.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in complex environments.
Security Vetting
This role is subject to UK Security Vetting at DV (developed vetting) level. Applicants must be eligible and willing to undertake the appropriate security clearance process if not already cleared. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of the relevant clearance process.
Location & Work Arrangement
This is a full‑time, permanent, hybrid (2‑3 days/week) role based in Bristol, with occasional business travel across the UK. Full‑time employment at Jacobs is based on a 40‑hour working week. We place a strong emphasis on work‑life balance and flexibility, and flexi‑time is available.
