Overview
Educational Support Worker to join a special school in Trowbridge, helping pupils feel safe, supported, and able to reach their potential. You will be working with pupils with a range of SEND, supporting both learning and personal development in a nurturing and structured environment.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with a range of SEND
* Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
* Help students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
* Provide personal care as a core part of the role (e.g. toileting and hygiene)
* Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
What we’re looking for / Qualifications
* Experience with SEND (formal or informal care, support work, or personal experience valued)
* A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
* Confidence and willingness to provide personal care
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference
Vetting and Application
* Vetting: safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; checks including references and DBS; interview required
* DBS: assistance may be provided to process a new DBS if not on Update Service; cost incurred, refunded after 20 days of work
