Occupational Therapist – Location: Windsor and Maidenhead

We are currently recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join our Children and Young People Disability Service (CYPDS) in Windsor and Maidenhead. This multi-professional team supports children and young people aged 0–25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and their families.
About The Role
* Work in close partnership with families to carry out assessments relating to occupational therapy needs in the home setting.
* Provide high-quality assessments in line with the statutory responsibilities of the Children and Families Act 2014, Children Act 1989 and 2004, and the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Acts 1970 and 1986.
* Take a lead role in all aspects of Occupational Therapy provision within the service, managing a caseload of varying complexity at different stages of intervention.
* Triage new OT referrals, prioritising by level of need, and deliver support ranging from advice and guidance to provision of equipment or home adaptations.
* Manage the provision and procurement of OT equipment and home adaptations, within an allocated budget, and carry out follow-up reviews.
* Review and streamline OT service processes to ensure effective, integrated, and timely support for families, reducing delays and bureaucracy.
About You
* A qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experienced in working with children and young people with SEND, and their families
* Knowledgeable of the legislation and statutory frameworks relating to SEND and disability, including a strong understanding of the Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2014, and the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Acts 1970/1986.
* Skilled in safeguarding disabled children and young people, with a good understanding of relevant legislation.
* An excellent communicator and relationship-builder, with experience working collaboratively across schools, services, and multi-disciplinary teams.
* Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage a varied caseload and work across service areas.
* A reflective practitioner, committed to continuous professional development and delivering positive outcomes for children and families
