Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator. About Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful: A charity dedicated to enhancing the environment and communities through initiatives promoting sustainability and a cleaner, greener future.
About the Role: You will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage resources and deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
* Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
* Coordinate certification programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct surveys.
* Develop community participation in sustainability initiatives and promote award programs.
* Act as the primary contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity at events, and prepare content.
* Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
* Manage stakeholder communications and support marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant qualification or 3 years' experience, with at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and transport access.
* Knowledge of environmental issues (essential); behavior change principles (desirable).
Personal Qualities:
* Effective independent and team working abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and flexibility for occasional extended hours. Business hours: 8am-6pm, core hours 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Hybrid work model.
Salary & Contract:
£30,328, Permanent (subject to funding). Funded partly by DAERA Environment Fund.
