The team is strongly integrated with our transport, energy, engineering, and design businesses. We are currently providing planning and environmental support on major UK projects for clients. These include water companies such as Yorkshire Water and Anglian Water, significant rail projects including Trans Pennine Upgrade for Network Rail and HS2, as well as major road schemes for National Highways. We are expanding our presence in the energy and renewables market, building on successes with hydrogen generation (e.g., Hynet at Ellesmere Port), electricity transmission (e.g., National Grid), floating offshore wind (e.g., Flotation Energy), and supporting Nuclear Waste Services.
The position requires a candidate with an excellent track record in environmental assessment, experience in directing and delivering a range of infrastructure and development projects, and strong business and people skills.
Your responsibilities include:
* Strengthening technical leadership, assurance, and governance across the EIA and EAM disciplines.
* Expanding the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Assessment Management (EAM) team nationally.
* Representing EIA and EAM internally and externally to secure and deliver client-focused projects.
* Aligning EIA and EAM delivery with AtkinsRéalis' mission for growth and success.
* Driving innovation through advanced processes and technologies in environmental assessment.
* Increasing visibility of discipline capabilities and value propositions across the business.
* Maintaining and improving service delivery quality based on client feedback.
* Supporting PHoD, Network Chairs, and Fellows in promoting technical excellence and innovation.
* Advocating for AtkinsRéalis' technical strengths within and outside the organization.
* Leading thought leadership initiatives to shape markets and introduce clients to new approaches.
