General Manager - Country Pub with Accommodation Rooms
We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our charming country pub with boutique accommodations rooms. About Us
Our newly renovated pub is at the heart of the local community, offering locally sourced food & beverages, warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation rooms for leisure and business guests.
The Role
As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the pub and accommodation, ensuring exceptional service standards and strong financial performance.
You will:
* Lead and inspire the front and back of house teams
* Drive food, drink, and room sales
* Oversee accommodation operations, housekeeping standards, and online booking platforms
* Oversee the kitchen operations
* Manage rotas, stock control, GP margins, and P&L accountability
* Deliver outstanding guest experiences and handle feedback professionally
* Build strong relationships within the local community
* Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and brand standards
Working Hours & Expectations
* This is a full-time, hands-on management role averaging 45–50 hours per week.
* A mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts
* Regular presence during peak trading periods (Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays)
* Availability during key seasonal periods
* Flexibility to support the team when needed
* Shift planning responsibility for both pub and accommodation operations
This role requires a visible, front-facing leader who leads from the floor, especially during busy services.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a General Manager or strong Deputy ready to step up
* Experience managing accommodation rooms (including OTAs such as )
* Strong commercial and P&L understanding
* A natural host with leadership presence
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Personal licence holder
