Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience/qualifications) Start Date: ASAP About the Role ABC Teachers are seeking compassionate and resilient Support Workers to provide personalised care and assistance to children and young adults with a variety of learning, social, and emotional needs in the Walsall area. You will support individuals in educational, social, and therapeutic settings, helping them engage in learning, develop independence, and thrive in a structured environment. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one or small group support in educational or social settings. Assisting with personal care, daily routines, and mobility where required. Supporting students with SEMH, ASC, SLD, or PMLD needs. Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviours. Encouraging life skills, independence, and social interaction. Supporting communication using tools such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC devices. About the Settings Positions are available across a range of schools and specialist provisions in Walsall, all part of Thrive Education Partnership. These settings provide nurturing, structured, and inclusive environments for children and young adults with complex needs. The Ideal Candidate ⭐ Experience working in SEN, SEMH, ASC, or PMLD settings (or equivalent personal experience). Resilient, patient, empathetic, and adaptable. Able to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and positive way. Team player, able to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families.
