EYFS Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs Hub) – Full Time – September 2026 TS7 Area – £444 per week (or equivalent depending on experience and qualifications) Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work on a full-time basis within a primary school in the TS7 area. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday during school hours. The successful candidate will be based within the school's specialist hub, supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage who have a range of additional needs. Working closely with teachers and SEND staff, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve positive outcomes. The role will commence in September 2026 and is ongoing, with the potential to become a long-term position based on the needs of the school. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning. Previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly within an EYFS setting, would be highly advantageous. The Role Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, the desired EYFS Teaching Assistant will provide high-quality support to children within the school's additional needs hub. Responsibilities may include: Supporting children with a range of additional needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis. Assisting pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning activities. Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals, and external agencies to support individual learning plans. Encouraging independence and promoting positive behaviour strategies. Creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive. The successful candidate will be patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young children with additional needs. Requirements To be considered for the EYFS Teaching Assistant position, you will: Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary or early years setting. Have experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs. Be confident supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. Have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to the lives of children with additional needs. Be able to work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
