Operations Director, Pub Partners - West Midlands Operations Director, Pub Partners Purpose of the role: To provide strategic leadership and oversight across multiple sites within a designated division, driving operational excellence and sustainable business growth. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive divisional strategy incorporating all regions within the division, that aligns with organisational objectives, adheres to legal requirements and ensuring compliance with the Pubs Code. You will cultivate high-impact business partnerships, enhance stakeholder engagement, and identify opportunities to drive profit growth and maximise investment returns. Additionally, this leader will empower teams to deliver exceptional performance, focusing on recruitment, volume expansion, and long-term value creation. Duties and Responsibilities: Key areas: Team Management Legal, Business and Financial Leadership and Strategy Service, Standards and Execution Safe and Legal Compliance Team Management: Follows the recruitment process to recruit, onboard, induct and train Regional Managers effectively Conduct regular reviews and support any developmental needs Coach, influence, and empower the team to deliver optimum results, ensuring successes are celebrated Delegates effectively to support performance and development Conduct regular divisional meetings that inspire and inform the team Role model to positively influence your team to contribute to the values and to demonstrate the right behaviours Legal, Business and Financial Acumen Responsible for delivery of the divisional P&L, budget, and profit delivery Contribute to the budgeting process Conduct regular P&L and performance reviews with your team, and attend divisional performance reviews as required Understand and effectively use both internal and external business systems Understand and adhere to all legislation and Company policies Attend and contribute to Ops Exec meetings and Group Leadership Team meetings Leadership and Strategy Confidently lead and deliver the divisional contribution to the group transformational strategy Demonstrate an analytical approach using data and current trends, to improve divisional performance Demonstrate strong commercial knowledge and work with Operations Manager and Regional Managers to identify opportunities within all local marketplaces Demonstrate resilience during challenging periods, creating a safe environment for your team to thrive Support both divisional and Business Unit projects Deliver successful expansionary capex in line with requirements of the business Effectively manage the AOP process in line with the requirements of the division Service, Standards and Execution Manage escalated issues promptly and professionally Ensure all channels of communication are professional and in line with company communications strategy Safe and Legal Compliance Ensure all business activity is in accordance with statutory legislation and Pubs Code Ensure adherence to all aspects of compliance, legislation, and Company policy with regards to publicans and employees Complete your own compliance training and ensure that your team are compliant Required Attributes: Must be able to drive and commute to designated region Overnight stays required Experience: Experienced Operations Manager or above, with evidence of delivering results Leadership: Ability to adapt leadership style to people and situations, whilst maintaining authenticity Time Management: Highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and execute in accordance with deadlines Team Management: Effective remote management of all teams, whilst ensuring they reach their full potential People: A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee engagement Relationship Management: Build, collaborate and maintain strong relationships with both your team and the wider support teams across the business.
