Your Impact on Students
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, youll be a key part of the support system for students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to individuals and small groups to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
*
Working alongside teachers and other professionals to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
*
Tracking and documenting student progress and behaviour.
*
Helping to develop and carry out individualised education plans (IEPs).
*
Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and reaching their learning objectives.
*
Implementing strategies to encourage positive behaviour and manage challenging situations.
*
Attending team meetings and training sessions to further your professional skills.
What Were Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:

At least six months of experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school.
*
A valid Enhanced DBS check or the willingness for one.
*
The legal right to work in the UK.
*
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
*
A patient and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
*
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
*
Strong organisational skills and effective time management.
*
Experience with a variety of SEN needs (desirable).
*
An understanding of relevant safeguarding procedures (desirable).
*
A proactive and positive approach to problem:solving.
