Mechanical Fitter – Stockport
Salary: £42,500 + Excellent Benefits (Pension, Life Assurance, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays)
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days Only (No Weekends)
Evening Cover: 1 in every 5 weeks (Driving licence required)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturing company with multiple sites across the country. The Role: As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and installations across a range of production equipment and plant machinery. You’ll work as part of a small, skilled maintenance team ensuring machinery runs efficiently and downtime is
Perform mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair work on manufacturing equipment.
Carry out installations, strip downs, and rebuilds as required.
Support production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Participate in an evening cover rota (1 in every 5 weeks). Time-served Mechanical Fitter or equivalent engineering qualification.
Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Must hold a full UK driving licence (due to evening cover requirements). Competitive salary of £42,500
