Overview
Relief Personal Support Assistant (Term and Non-Term Time)
I am a 7-year-old girl who attends school full-time. I have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD and I live with my Mum. I enjoy playing games on my Switch, visiting the shop, and playing with Paw Patrol figures. I communicate verbally but sometimes my words get mixed up. I am imaginative, and I have a funny personality. I may find transitions or unexpected changes challenging and can become distressed or overwhelmed. I like to feel safe and in control, so I need my PA to be patient but firm and to support me to improve my social interactions (e.g., sharing and playing appropriately).
I need help developing my social skills and improving access to school and activities. I respond best to positive praise, clear expectations, and gentle guidance. I am sensitive to loud noises or crowded places, so you will need to be mindful of my sensory needs and plan accordingly. This role is about building a lasting, positive relationship with me and helping me grow in confidence, enjoy new experiences, and develop life skills. Your support will help my well-being and enable me to access the world more safely, confidently, and joyfully.
