Support Worker Associate

The closing date is 08 February 2026

We are looking for a Support Worker Associate to join our team on working full time or part time on a permanent basis.

You will be expected to assist and support the design, delivery, and evaluation of various educational topics that relate to the development of our healthcare support worker workforce, including but not limiting to the Induction Programme and any local or national initiatives.

Assist with the allocation and coordination of clinical placements for those on programmes such as T-Levels and other appropriate early careers education programmes. This will include the upskilling of staff within the clinical area and providing pastoral support to the learners.

You will be expected to travel independently across the geographical area as required to fulfil the duties of the role. This may include having access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence, or suitable alternative arrangements to meet the travel requirements of the post.


Main duties of the job

Gather evidence to assist in evaluation of programmes, pastoral support and engagement

To carry out duties as designated by Facilitator/Educator

To accurately record information and keep up to date records, as required

Follow the principles for equality, diversity and inclusion

Safeguard and protect adults and children; promote the principles to others and where appropriate follow the necessary safeguarding principles required to raise a formal alert

Demonstrate what it means in practice to promote and provide person centred care and support

To work flexibly in response to the needs of the service

Log accidents and incidents in accordance with clinical guidelines and organisational procedures

To input all required data accurately and on time

In specific training undertake a lead role in the delivery

To promote a culture of lifelong learning

Work in a collaborative and co-operative manner with other health professionals

Be flexible and adaptable as there will be a requirement to maintain appropriate clinical competencies and skills to proactively support clinical services at times of high demand

Any other duties consistent with the nature, level and grade of the post

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Completion of the Care Certificate or higher equivalent qualification
* Completion of Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willingness to work towards
* Teaching Qualification such as Award in Education and Training, PTTLS or equivalent


Experience

* Relevant experience in a healthcare setting -- support worker, nursing associate/assistant practitioner or similar role
* Good level of knowledge of Health and Social Care
* Evidence of effective communication skills
* Evidence of effective interpersonal skills
* Good organisational skills
* Experience in liaising with multi-agencies/teams
* Experience in contributing to effective care
* Ability to accurately record and input information onto databases, spreadsheets
* Computer Skills
* Sound clinical knowledge underpinned by evidence of theoretical understanding
* Experience of delivery of training to multi -disciplinary workforce
* A positive attitude to teaching and customer care
* Able to facilitate or co-facilitate teaching/training sessions
* Experience in managing difficult situations
* Ability to answer questions on related subjects or sign post effectively
* Evidence of delivering effective training packages
* Knowledge of Learning and Development process such as competencies and skills assessments
* Knowledge of local and national guidelines / standards related to the Bands 1-4 workforce and T-Levels (as example)
