SCOPE OF THE ROLE
The Document Controller/Project Coordinator is responsible for managing all project-related documentation, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded, maintained, and readily accessible. This role is crucial for facilitating communication among project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with organisational, security, and regulatory standards, including work such as installation and fabrication drawings on major building projects.
You will be working on significant construction projects in the UK and worldwide, developing your expertise as part of a skilled, talented, and multidisciplinary team.
The role would suit someone who is a quick learner, detail-conscious, possesses good communication skills, and has a positive attitude.
Key Functions
* Controlling company and project documentation
* Following and improving document control procedures
* Supporting project administration
* Coordinating projects with Project Managers
* Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and standards
* Sorting, storing, and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, reports, and communications
* Producing reports for senior managers
* Supporting budget management
* Using computers to organize and distribute documents within the company
* Assisting in project planning stages
* Sharing documents at key times to facilitate timely project completion
* Managing version control of all project documents, ensuring the latest versions are used and historical versions archived
* Preparing project reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings

* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Knowledge of best practices in project documentation and reporting
* Good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
