Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Sales assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers with their purchases, and contributing to the overall shopping experience. A multilingual or bilingual background is highly valued, fluency in Cantonese and basic English is required.
Duties
* Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the till
* Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and product selection
* Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
* Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising
* Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and good phone etiquette
* Ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift
* Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes
Experience
* Previous experience in a cashier or sales role is preferred but not essential
* Strong organisational skills to manage inventory and store layout effectively
* Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with a diverse customer base
* Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous, fluency in Cantonese and basic English required
* A proactive approach to upselling and promoting products
* Candidates living in Sutton preferred
