General Description:
We are seeking a versatile Material Handler for our 2nd shift at our facility in Industrial Drive, PA. This position is ideal for someone who can act as a switch hitter, meaning you’ll be ready to take on various tasks as needed. The Material Handler will assist with a variety of duties, including skidding, operating machines, using an overhead crane, parts cleaning, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle, move, and stage materials within the facility.
* Operate overhead cranes to transport materials and assist with production processes.
* Help with skidding materials, ensuring that all items are appropriately packaged and prepared for shipment.
* Run machines as needed to support production, ensuring smooth operations.
* Perform parts cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and readiness of materials.
* Assist with inventory management, keeping track of materials and supplies.
* Ensure that safety protocols are followed while operating equipment and handling materials.
* Provide support to various departments as required to ensure efficient production workflows.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
* Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other machinery safely.
* Strong ability to multi-task and adapt to changing duties throughout the shift.
* Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments a plus.
* Willingness to learn and take on various tasks across different areas of production.
