Job Details
Job Title: Inpatient Bookings Team Leader
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between 8.30am and 5.30pm
Salary: £31,383 per annum
Responsible to: Customer Services Manager
Job Summary
Manage theatre bookings to ensure efficient use of theatres and lead the Inpatient Bookings team, demonstrating excellent leadership and customer service skills. Collaborate with health professionals and interface confidently across hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the Inpatient bookings team, assign tasks, and ensure accurate and timely bookings.
* Achieve set targets for the team.
* Handle bookings, answer calls, and perform related duties.
* Ensure insurance pre-authorisations are secured before surgeries.
* Manage theatre lists, patient list order, and admission times.
* Provide patients with surgery details and written quotations if needed.
* Assist with third-party contracts, such as NHS Waiting Lists.
Person Specification
Applicants should meet the following essential attributes:
* Experience leading a team in an administrative or clerical setting.
* Organised, proactive, and able to work independently and in teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
* NVQ or equivalent in Business Administration.
* Healthcare industry experience.
