We are hiring an enthusiastic Art Teacher for a compassionate and inclusive secondary school in Yeovil. Starting September 2025, you’ll deliver inspiring and expansive visual arts lessons, while also fostering creative community engagement and student confidence.
Role summary:
You’ll teach KS3–KS4 Art, with potential for KS5 Fine Art or Photography. The curriculum spans traditional and contemporary practices—printmaking, digital media, sculpture, and site-responsive work. You’ll enable portfolio-building, nurture experimentation, and mentor independent thinking.
Core responsibilities:

Develop varied, concept-driven projects with students from ideation through to exhibition-ready work

Lead creative clubs—ceramics, photography, stop-motion—aiding social development and wellbeing
*
Organise gallery trips, public installations, and pop-up exhibitions in community venues
*
Work with teaching teams to integrate art in STEAM projects and school-wide creative weeks
Candidate profile:
