As a Data Centre Engineer, you’ll work across two of London’s flagship data centres — Lewisham and Canary Wharf — providing hands-on server and hardware support across HPE and Dell environments.

Responsibilities:
• Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on customer hardware including HPE and Dell servers.
• Replace hard drives, DIMMs, processors, system boards, and other components.
• Carry out data centre cabling activities — installation, termination, patching, and testing (CAT5e, CAT6/6A, fibre).
• Support IMAC/D (Install, Move, Add, Change, Decommission) processes and data centre facilities management.
• Escort vendors and third-party engineers onsite, manage access requests, and oversee goods in/out.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring all SLAs and service standards are met.
• Log, track, and update all work in ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Work collaboratively within a 24/7 support team, ensuring consistent service coverage.
Skills / Must Have:
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE ProLiant and Dell server hardware.
• Proven experience in a data centre or hardware support environment.
• Solid knowledge of cabling practices (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, fibre).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Understanding of ESD and Health & Safety procedures in a DC environment.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing professionalism.
• Calm, logical approach to troubleshooting under pressure.
Desirable:
• Experience supporting financial or enterprise environments.
• Exposure to network cabling or facilities management tasks.

Salary:
£40,000 base + £1,966 Inner London Allowance + £5,158 Shift Allowance
(Total package: approx. £47,000 per annum)
