Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician Colas Ltd are a UK subsidiary of the global Colas Group, which operates in over 50 countries worldwide and employs over 55,000 people including over 1500 in the UK across multiple sites. We are specialists in highways construction and have been involved in large-scale UK and international construction projects within the highways, airfields, and marine sectors as well as offering highways maintenance services and manufacturing our own innovative surfacing products. As permanent Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician, you will join a valued team in our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. The role will support the Engineering department with maintenance and repair of all Electrical/ Control equipment within the products production unit and comply with all Health and Safety policies.
As Industry Installation / Maintenance Technician, you will examine structures and equipment within buildings or plant and report defects, carry out legislative checks and record keep. Following all risk assessments and procedures, you will supervise attendees for scheduled servicing of equipment and breakdowns. You will also maintain electrical equipment, assemble electrical systems, deal with production breakdowns, deal with plant modifications and instrumentation calibrations and use logical problem-solving techniques to find the route cause and rectify. will work with equipment such as a pedestal drill machine, grinders, welding equipment and portable powered hand tools and assist with the repair of all mechanical equipment across the products business when required.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a simar role or have a Certificate of Technical Education in the field (level 3 up). You will be a team player with strong problem solving/ analytical thinking and have an understanding PLC and controlled equipment.
