Integrated Product Owner
Full Time, Office Based
Glasgow.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Integrated Product Owner to join our Product Development Team at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Glasgow.
You will lead our safety-critical product development team, delivering complete product designs through a stringent design process. You will serve as the Product Owner for a development team using agile Scrum methods to develop high-integrity FPGA-based applications, adopting the latest tools. Training will be provided to develop requirements, architectures, designs, HDL code, tests, and infrastructure for applications critical to nuclear propulsion plant safety and monitoring.

What you’ll be doing:
Follow a safety-critical development lifecycle to:
* Develop requirements from equipment to implementation for FPGA designs
* Develop and verify VHDL code
* Support hardware testing
* Author and review design documentation
Define product goals and roadmaps, manage and prioritize backlog, solve problems, and lead Scrum teams.
People Accountabilities:
* Manage a team’s daily work and support their development and performance
Capability Accountabilities:
* Enhance FPGA capabilities across the organization
* Engage with wider Rolls-Royce teams for learning and capability building
* Contribute to process and quality improvements
Who we are looking for:
Aligned with Rolls-Royce values of agility, boldness, collaboration, and simplicity:
* Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Certified Scrum Product Owner
* Experience in designing and verifying VHDL designs
* Strong technical reporting skills
* Ability to manage complex, ambiguous products
Beneficial but not essential experience includes:
* Tools: Azure DevOps, Git, IBM DOORS, Siemens QuestaSim/ModelSim, Synopsys Synplify Pro
* Standards: IEC 61513, IEC 62566, IEC26262, DO‑254; techniques like UVM, Formal Verification
* Languages: VHDL, SystemVerilog, TCL, Python
