Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area, a record of impactful publications, and a strong interest in interdisciplinary research. Experience in health analytics is particularly welcome. The role offers opportunities for research, publication, funding, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
RGU's campus is located near Aberdeen, offering excellent facilities and a beautiful setting. A relocation package is available. Salary depends on experience, with Grade 7 (£39,355 - 45,163) and Grade 8 (£46,485 – 55,755) scales. Candidates with limited experience may start at the first point of Grade 7. Sponsorship under UKVI's Skilled Worker route may be available.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop educational content, assessments, and participate in curriculum development.
* Provide tutorial guidance and supervise projects.
* Engage in research, seek funding, publish high-quality outputs, and contribute to research strategies.
* Participate in outreach, recruitment, and professional links.
* Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Person Specification
Essential:
* PhD (or near completion) in Computing, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
* Strong knowledge of Data Science and Analytics.
* Funding or publication success appropriate to experience level.
Desirable:
* Recognised teaching qualification.
* Knowledge of healthcare analytics, professional standards, and HE practices.
* Experience in course development, quality assurance, outreach, and research funding.
