Shift Pattern: 21 hours per week available. Working hours will vary within the timeframes outlined below and may include shifts across all seven days of the week. Flexibility is essential, as occasional weekend vacations may be required to accompany the person we support.
* 7:00am - 17:00pm
* 10:00am - 17:00pm
* 9:00am - 18:00pm
* 16:00pm - 22:00pm
* 17:00pm - 12:00am
Other: Must be able to drive and be comfortable driving the person we support's vehicle.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker within the Chorley area to join a small support team, providing 1:1 care to a creative and driven individual with disabilities associated with cerebral palsy and cognitive, social, and communication challenges. This is more than just a job. It is an opportunity to support someone in achieving their personal, academic, and creative goals and to make a real difference.

* Daily routines and food/drink prompts
* Behavioural prompts to support communication and social interaction

About the Person You'll Support
The person being supported is an undergraduate song writing student who is passionate about music and currently attends college three days a week. They live with bilateral dystonic cerebral palsy, affecting all four limbs. They experience regular spasms and have a fixed posture and equines (feet turning inward and downward), but maintain full range of motion in other joints.
Ongoing support is needed with:
* Mobility and posture
* Daily routines and food/drink prompts
* Behavioural prompts to support communication and social interaction
* University attendance and activities

Requirements
* A full UK driving licence and confidence driving the individual's car
* A genuine interest in supporting someone to live a full, creative, and independent life
* Patience, empathy, and an understanding of physical and cognitive disabilities
* Flexibility to adapt to a changing schedule
