Middlesex University is seeking an experienced, efficient, and strategic CRM Communications Manager.
The role involves leading the development and delivery of high‑impact, data‑driven communications that support student recruitment, engagement, and retention. You will play a key part in a major CRM transformation programme, migrating from legacy systems to a new enterprise solution.
Responsibilities
You will ensure continuity of service during migration while optimising communications through enhanced automation, segmentation, and personalisation capabilities.
Leading a team of CRM professionals, you will design and manage end‑to‑end communication journeys across email, SMS, telephone, and other outbound channels. Your campaigns will focus on strengthening engagement with prospective students, converting enquiries into applications, and applicants into enrolled students.
Working closely with admissions, marketing and recruitment teams, you will create compelling nurture campaigns, oversee audience segmentation and lead scoring, and ensure all communications align with the University’s brand, tone of voice, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and CMA guidance.
You will also be responsible for reporting and performance management, using data and insights to test, measure, and continuously improve campaign effectiveness. A strong understanding of competitor activity and sector trends will help shape innovative communication strategies and maintain the University’s competitive edge. The fast‑paced environment will require meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality and impact.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in CRM and email marketing platforms, campaign automation, and stakeholder management, alongside excellent copywriting and analytical skills. They will be highly organised, able to work well under pressure, and capable of leading, managing, and motivating a growing team.
