Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Longdon Park School, Egginton, DE65 6GU
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8.00am–4.00pm | Wednesday: 8.00am–5.00pm

As our new PE Teacher, you’ll do more than deliver lessons — you’ll open doors, inspire belief, and help build healthier futures for every student.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Creating and delivering a dynamic PE curriculum that’s inclusive, engaging, and tailored to our learners’ individual needs.
* Working collaboratively with curriculum and subject leads to ensure a joined-up, impactful learning journey across the school.
* Inspiring students to explore new sports, challenge themselves, and grow in confidence – on and off the pitch.
* Contributing to school life as a motivator, role model, and leader – inside and outside the classroom.
* Supporting colleagues through line management and peer collaboration, playing a key role in middle leadership.
What We’re Looking For
You’re not just a teacher — you’re a motivator, mentor, and natural leader who brings energy, empathy, and an unshakeable belief in every young person’s potential.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Confidence in teaching two subject areas – variety is the spice of school life!
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Some experience of line managing staff or supporting colleagues.
* A genuine enthusiasm to engage in middle leadership activities like curriculum scrutiny and team development.
* A strong understanding of the national curriculum, and how to adapt it for learners with SEN.
* A deep sense of empathy, patience, and creativity – because no two learners are the same.
About us
Longdon Park School opened in June 2015. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7 to 18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. We provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment where our young people learn to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive decisions and display pro-social behaviour. We are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum. Our priority is to develop the foundation knowledge and skills required to make a manageable and smooth transition to the next life stage.
Longdon Park School is not readily accessible by public transport.
