Are you an experienced Asset Manager looking to take ownership of a well-established PFI education portfolio across the Midlands?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) management team, playing a key role in ensuring operational excellence, contractual compliance, and value across multiple school assets.
The Role:
As Asset Manager, you’ll be responsible for the strategic and operational management of a PFI portfolio of education facilities. You’ll act as the key interface between the SPV, the Authority, FM service providers, lenders, and schools — ensuring the project performs in line with contractual, financial, and operational obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee the performance of Hard FM and Lifecycle delivery partners, ensuring compliance with all contract terms.
* Manage lifecycle planning, variations, and project budgets, maintaining accurate financial forecasts and reports.
* Lead on stakeholder engagement, including with the Authority and school representatives.
* Monitor and report on asset performance, risk, and compliance to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Support governance and board reporting, providing clear insight on asset and service performance.
* Drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and best practice across the portfolio.
About You:
We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded Asset Manager who can combine technical understanding with strong relationship management.
You’ll need:
✅ Proven experience within PFI / PPP environments
✅ Strong understanding of Asset and Facilities Management principles
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities autonomously
✅ Attention to detail and a proactive approach to governance and compliance
