Job Description Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Community Learning and Development Worker to lead and deliver high-quality Community Learning and Development (CLD) practice across Kincardine and Mearns and Marr. This post, with the Adult Learning and Communities Team includes the key communities of Aboyne, Alford, Banchory, Huntly, Laurencekirk, Portlethen and Stonehaven. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in supporting individuals, families and communities to achieve positive outcomes through CLD, aligned with national priorities and local need. You will manage a team to promote, develop and deliver local learning and development opportunities. The successful candidate will practice a person-centred approach, be well organised, confident to engage with partners and communities at all levels and demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Experience of nationally recognised accreditation including Qualification Scotland and wider achievement awards would be desirable. The CLD Service sits within Aberdeenshire Council’s wider Education and Children’s Service.
