GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Killamarsh (S26). This role is perfect for a teacher who thrives in a supportive setting and is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities of the SEMH Teacher:
* Deliver personalised and engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
* Support pupils in building emotional regulation, confidence, and academic resilience.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure individual progress.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and therapeutic approaches.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Previous experience working with SEMH or within alternative provisions.
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
* Empathy, patience, and excellent relationship-building abilities.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
