The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods safely. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Build and stock pallets with products for storage or distribution. Maintain accurate records of inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or AS400 system. Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and assist in managing stock levels. Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Keep the warehouse organised and tidy, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Skills Proficient in materials handling techniques and practices. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. Forklift certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or AS400 is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory management. Excellent teamwork abilities, contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.
