People Marketing's client, a well-established fashion supplier based in Manchester, working with leading high‑street retailers and global manufacturers, is looking for an organised, confident, proactive individual to join the team as a Trainee Import Merchandiser/Admin.
The Trainee Import Merchandiser/Admin will learn the intricacies of the fashion development critical path from initial order through delivery, assisting the teams in ensuring products arrive on time and meet the correct specifications. The successful applicant will learn to work closely with overseas suppliers, build relationships and work with all internal teams, gaining an understanding of the whole business.
Trainee Import Merchandiser / Admin - Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the senior merch team to manage the full critical path process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Liaise daily with international suppliers
* Build strong relationships with teams and suppliers.
* Review and track samples, lab dips, artwork, and packaging.
* Accurately update internal data and communicate any issues.
* Work with internal teams, including design, sales, and logistics, to support day-to-day operations.
Trainee Import Merchandiser / Admin – The Person:
* Proficient with Excel and comfortable with IT systems.
* Strong communication skills.
* Excellent organisation, attention to detail
* willingness to learn and pick up systems
* Able to work independently and within a fast‑paced team.
* Work experience in a fashion head office or supplier is a plus
