Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Pharmacy Practice Support Worker based across East Ayrshire .
What you will do:
An exciting opportunity to join the GP Pharmacy Service as a Senior General Practice Support Worker. The role is vital to support NHS Ayrshire & Arran deliver its Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Services; ensuring safe effective use of medicines.
You will work with practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians by undertaking routine tasks. Some of these tasks may require a moderate degree of technical expertise. You will also be required to discuss use of medicines over the phone with patients.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. National 5 (or Equivalent) – English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology (A or B pass) Moderate arithmetic
2. Good IT skills
3. Willing to undertaken further SVQ units at SCQF level 6 including Primary Care units
4. Communication skills (oral and written)
5. Ability to operate computer systems
6. Ability to work in fast working environment, ability to concentrate on the task
