At FLI Water, we design, build, and operate cutting-edge process technology for municipal and industrial clients — and we’re looking for a driven Project Engineer to help us deliver excellence from concept to completion. About the Role As a Project Engineer, you’ll assist in managing multiple mechanical and electrical (M&E) installation and fabrication projects in parallel — ranging from £5,000 to £3 million. You’ll be involved from client order through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and with zero accidents. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where collaboration, technical insight, and proactive problem-solving are key. What You’ll Be Doing • Supporting Project Managers across all phases of delivery • Liaising with Water Company clients and suppliers to scope and execute works • Assisting with tender preparation, site visits, and installation oversight • Managing resources, materials, and purchasing (up to £15,000) • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental, and IMS standards • Preparing method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation • Coordinating with internal teams for off-site manufacture and installation • Handling up to 10 projects in parallel, depending on scope What You’ll Bring • Experience in engineering or project management support roles • Preferably practical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes • Familiarity with construction methods and equipment in the sector • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Strong relationship-building and communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) • Valid CSCS card, SSSTS certification (preferred), and full UK driving licence • Preferably a background in mechanical engineering Why FLI Water? • Be part of a specialist team within the FLI Group, delivering impactful infrastructure • Work on diverse, high-value projects that improve communities and the environment • Enjoy a collaborative culture with opportunities for growth and development
