Job Title: Reach Forklift Truck Operator Location: West Midlands, West Bromwich Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Industry: Manufacturing and Production Salary: £34,200 - £34,222 per annum Job Description We are seeking a reliable and skilled Reach Forklift Truck Operator to join our manufacturing facility in West Bromwich. The successful candidate works within a fast-paced production environment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Operate reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently in line with company policies and health and safety regulations. Load, unload, stack and move materials and finished products within the warehouse and production areas. Conduct routine pre-operational checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly. Maintain accurate records of goods moved, stock levels and any discrepancies encountered during operations. Assist with stock rotation, ensuring products are stored in correct locations and maintain stock integrity. Support warehouse and production teams with timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Comply with all health and safety standards, promoting a safe working environment at all times. Adopt a proactive approach to identifying and minimising hazards or inefficiencies in the work area. Participate in training and development programmes as required. Required Qualifications Valid reach forklift truck operator licence or certification. Experience Proven experience operating reach forklift trucks within a manufacturing or warehousing environment. Demonstrable understanding of stock control and warehouse procedures. Knowledge and Skills Thorough knowledge of forklift truck operations and safety regulations. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
