Role: SEMH Teaching Assistants
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
Are you an SEMH Teaching Assistant who can support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
GSL Education are looking for dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist setting in Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity for proactive SEMH TAs who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers and succeed in education.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who may experience behavioural and emotional challenges. The successful Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties TA will build strong relationships, provide consistent support, and help create a positive and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as an SEMH Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEMH needs
* Provide 1:1 and small group support
* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Help students stay engaged and focused in lessons
* Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
* Promote a safe and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
* Understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour strategies
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
