The Opportunity
* Adecco is partnering with one of the world's leading technology companies to hire a Regional Data Research Specialist (APAC) .
* This role focuses on the Asia-Pacific and India region and plays a key part in supporting regional integrity initiatives through high-quality, research-driven data management. You will be joining a collaborative, global team and will serve as the primary contact for public sector-related data needs across the region.
* This is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension or conversion, starting as soon as possible. The position is onsite (flexible) or remote, depending on your country of residence.
The Talent
* 4+ years of experience in data analysis, research, or public sector information management.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (able to build queries and automate workflows).
* Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
* Fluency in English and one or more major APAC languages .
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and information integrity.
* Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and operate in fast-changing environments.
* Familiarity with political or government structures in APAC and India is highly valued.
* Degree in Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Data Science, or a related field.
* Background in government, research agencies, or tech firms with public-facing data is a plus.
Job Description
As a Regional Data Research Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining verified datasets related to public institutions, elected officials, and policy organizations across the Asia-Pacific and India region. Your work will support internal initiatives focused on data quality, trust, and information integrity.
* Conduct research and curate datasets relating to public sector entities in the region.
* Ensure data accuracy through regular auditing, verification, and process documentation.
* Collaborate with internal teams across operations, product, and policy functions to align data frameworks.
* Respond to region-specific updates such as elections, leadership changes, or verified profile escalations.
* Assist in the design and execution of automated tools, templates, and dashboards to streamline data workflows.
* Provide weekly and monthly reports highlighting key trends and changes.
* Partner with stakeholders across regions to share best practices and refine data strategy.
* Play a critical role in regional data improvement projects that impact multiple business areas.
