The Role
We're looking for an experienced Automotive Service Receptionist / Service Advisor to be the friendly, professional face of ML Autos. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers — managing bookings, communicating vehicle updates, and ensuring every visit runs smoothly.
* Location: Unit 1, Ashley Industrial Estate, Leeds Road, Huddersfield
* Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Hours: Monday – Friday 8am–5pm, Saturday 8am–12pm
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers and manage front-of-house professionally
* Handle phone, email, and walk-in enquiries
* Book vehicles in for service, MOT, repairs, and diagnostics
* Liaise between customers and technicians to relay job updates
* Provide accurate estimates and confirm costs before work begins
* Upsell relevant services in an honest, customer-first manner
* Maintain accurate records using garage management software (Techman)
* Ensure a smooth customer journey from drop-off to collection
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years experience in an automotive service reception or service advisor role
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Organised, reliable, and able to manage a busy workshop diary
* Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
* Comfortable discussing costs and timelines with customers
* A positive, can-do attitude that fits our honest, expert team culture
* Knowledge of EV/Hybrid vehicles is a bonus but not essential
